Why do you need to fill Form 29 and 30 for vehicle transfer?

See, first of all, I would like to tell you that if you buy any vehicle, then it is necessary to get it registered. Even if you are driving a car and bike, you will have to register with it and tell the government that you are driving that car or bike and you owned this vehicle.
And if you do not get your vehicle registered, then that vehicle will be considered illegal by law and if you are caught driving the same vehicle then you will have to pay a heavy fine and can also be punished in the case of vehicle theft.
And you also have to pay road tax to drive the vehicle but this road tax is not necessary for an old or used vehicle.

Document Required for Transfer of Ownership of Vehicle
After filling the RTO forms 29 and 30 for the transfer of the vehicle, you will have to attach some documents, the list of which is given below.
- RTO Form 29
- RTO Form 30
- Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
- Vehicle Insurance Policy
- Pollution Certificate
- Pan Card of Buyer and Seller
- Aadhaar Card of Buyer and Seller
- Passport Size Color Photograph of Buyer
- Chassis Number Impression with pencil
- Tax Clearance Certificate (Only for Commercial Vehicles)
- NOC (if you selling the vehicle out of your state)
Transfer of Vehicle Registration from One State to Another Cost in India and details
First of all, I want to clarify to you that if you want to transfer your vehicle from one state to another and want to drive there then you have to re-register your vehicle.
And if I talk about RTO tax then you have to pay this tax again in that state. And its cost depends on the type of your vehicle, as you have registered your vehicle earlier, you can estimate from that.
Vehicle transfer process from one state to another
So here I talked about how you can transfer your vehicle from one state to another. And after reading these sections of outside transfer of vehicles you will be able to know about this transfer process and you will be able to apply for transfer easily.
So first you have to apply for NOC (Non-Clearance Certificate) at your vehicle registered RTO. To get NOC from your RTO you need to fill RTO Form 28 whose download link is given below.
You can apply for NOC both offline and online. To apply for NOC you will need some documents which are given below. Which has to be submitted along with Form 28 in RTO.

After getting NOC you can apply for registration of your vehicle in the RTO of another state where you want to register. But remember that NOC is valid for up to 6 months.
And if your vehicle is on loan then must need to take NOC from the finance also.
