There are a number of benefits students can enjoy by availing of this scheme. The following are the available benefits to the beneficiaries of the scheme –

• A one-time incentive of Rs. 100000(Ten lakh rupees) will be awarded to the beneficiaries of the scheme who have taken admission in Medical and Dental colleges.
• A sum of Rs. 25000(Twenty-five thousand rupees) will be given to 10th and 12th students every year to pursue any higher education of their choice.
• For students pursuing undergraduate courses or postgraduate courses, a sum of Rs. 10000( Ten thousand rupees) will be provided annually to ensure the smooth running of their education.
• Another additional waiver will be awarded to students residing in the university hostels by the Gujrat govt. as they will get an additional benefit of Rs.12000(Twelve thousand rupees) from the govt. for hostel and mess fees.

Who can get the benefits of MYSY?

If any student wants to apply for the MYSY scholarship scheme, the following criteria must be fulfilled.

1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Gujarat.
2. The annual income of the family must not be more than Rs. 450000( four lakh fifty thousand rupees)
3. The applicant must belong to the EWS( Economically Weaker Section) category.
4. NRI’s are not applicable to the scheme.

Documents required for the MYSY Scheme

The following documents are required to apply for availing of the MYSY Scholarship scheme:-

• Family’s income certificate
• Self-declaration form
• Certificate from the institution for new applicants
• Renewal Certificate from institute (one in Gujarati language and one in English)
• 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
• Admission letter
• Fee Receipt
• Affidavit (Non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 20/-)
• Recent passport size photographs.

Educational Criteria for MYSY

To be eligible for the MYSY scheme, an applicant must fulfill the following educational criteria.

1. For Diploma Courses – 

• The candidate must have cleared the 10th class with a percentile rank above 80.

2. For Graduation Courses – 

• The candidate’s percentile rank must be above 90 in the 12th standard.

3. For Engineering and Pharma Courses – 

• The applicant must have obtained 80 or more percentile in the 12th standard( science stream)

4. For Medical Courses –

• The applicant must have obtained 80 or more percentile in the 12th standard( science stream)

5. For Other Courses( B.sc, B.com, B.A, BCA, BBA, etc.)

The applicant must have obtained 80 or more percentile on the 12th.

To register for the MYSY scheme one must follow the steps given below.

• Visit the official website https://mysy.guj.nic.in/
• Click on Login/Register.
• Now you can login if you registered already and if you are not registered then click on click for Registration as shown in the image.
• Select your desired post.
• Select your Board/ University.
• And select your stream.
• Select your passing year.
• Enter your DOB.
• Enter a valid mobile number.
• Click on Get password.
• You will receive a password on your registered mobile number and finally be registered on the official website.
