With the support of his gang and his widowed mother of boys, Dhunu faces the struggles of his daily life and hopes for the day when he can finally play on a real guitar.
Village Rockstars are not just about the characters of the film, but also about the cinematic triumph of its producer Rima Das.
She has made almost single-film production. In one of his man-crew, he has played several roles of director, producer, cinematographer, and editor. The film received awards in Best Film, Best Editing, Best Child Actor and Best Places Sound category.

Rima Das is a self-taught screenwriter, producer, and director who also plays the role of cinematographer and editor for his films.
Born and raised in a small village of Assam in north-eastern India, it is now located in Mumbai and Assam. He is the managing director of Flying River Films who supports local, independent film production in this area.
